WHAT IS THE PLACEMENT FEE?

Our placement fee of $5,950 to $6,950 (with a pay-as-go $350 per month plan available) compares to that of so-called traditional or typical trade school tuition in Broadcasting, Music, Recording or Film that can run from $20,000 to as much as $80,000! If you've been interested in doing this for a while and have been checking out these training facilities, you are well aware of the costs. Colleges and universities, of course, are even more expensive. The resulting loss of income during this period of time (as much as four years) adds even more to the cost. Whereas, with the Get A Mentor program you work your training schedule around your work schedule, enabling you to earn as you learn.

RADIO PROGRAM

Additional payment(s) of $1800.00, added to the $700.00 already paid, for a total paid of $2,500.00 before starting. The additional payments can be made all at once following the interview allowing for immediate start of training, or can be spread out over three months.

WHAT DOES THE MENTOR / INSTRUCTOR GET OUT OF THIS?

Fifty percent of the placement fee goes directly to your tenured mentor/instructor. A tenured mentor (one who has successfully mentored a “student” for us) is paid somewhat more than a first- time mentor. That's worth noting because the most important part of the education process is the faculty or the teacher. We recognize that importance and reward it accordingly. Your mentor/instructor also receives up to a $1,000 incentive for your employment. However they will not jeopardize their organization or accept you in the first place if they don't think that they or someone else in the industry could hire you after some on-the-job training. It's as simple as that.

Registration

To get to a personal phone interview where we can answer all of your specific questions and concerns and mutually determine if our program is right for you, please submit a Preliminary Application for Enrollment found at the end of our site.

THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR ANY OF OUR INITIAL IN-DEPTH PHONE INTERVIEWS WITH US.

After your phone interview, if approved and you wish to continue, a refundable registration fee of $350.00* is required in order to proceed with your enrollment and for you to advance to your face-to-face meeting and interview with your prospective mentor. This is not an additional charge; but part of the total placement fee and is applied as a credit to that full placement fee amount. Again, the $350.00 Registration Fee is fully and unconditionally refundable on request.

So you can take the next step, even interview with your potential mentor – if you are not satisfied, can't come up with the rest of your placement fee, or change your mind, the Registration Fee is guaranteed refundable -- without exception.

Enrollment

- Payment In Full -

If your potential mentor accepts you at your interview, and you have the funds ready, you then pay the placement fee balance in full to officially enroll and start an unrestricted schedule at the station or studio.

- Second Interview -

If you are accepted, but you want to "shop around", a $350.00 second interview fee is necessary to set up another meeting with a different mentor. This is also applied to your total placement fee. If you are accepted at this second interview, and you are not immediately ready to enroll by paying your placement fee in full, another $350.00 is required to confirm that this mentor is acceptable, which is again applied to the total placement fee.

- Payment Plan -

Half of the fees paid to us are paid to the mentor over a period of four to ten months. If you can't raise the funds, you can, after paying $1,500 down for Radio and Recording, $2500 for Film, proceed on a restricted activity basis - once a month at the station or studio. You will then make payments of $350 (minimum) per month until paid in full.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The $350 Registration Fee is fully refundable, unconditionally, upon your request. Again, if you must cancel (you change your mind, can't come up with the rest of your placement fee, are not satisfied with us), please let us know. The Registration Fee is guaranteed refundable -- without exception.*

Notify us by phone and/or email and a check will be mailed to you within 30 business days of your request.

If you are on the fence, still deciding, have cold feet, you also have the option of keeping the $350 as a credit on your account - indefinitely. You may then return at any time and resume your enrollment process with us. The $350 will not be lost to you and also acts as an anchor and incentive to pull you back to your goal and commitment.

Any and all payments made beyond the initial $350.00 Registration Fee are not refundable. We would find it impossible to operate if we were required to refund our fees. The professions we represent are not easy. Discouragement and the feeling that you are not going to make it are common. Offering a refund encourages giving up, and providing it is tantamount to a reward for quitting. Our commitment is to help you succeed.

*Unconditional refund on $350.00 Registration Fee is effective for enrollments starting July 1, 2006.

SERVICE AGREEMENT

What If Something Goes Wrong?

Mentors are not paid in advance, so we guarantee that if at any time throughout your training you become dissatisfied for any reason, we can find you another station or studio and mentor within the same field at no additional charge.

If you are not dissatisfied, but find it necessary to find a new mentor because you decide to move to a new city in the midst of your training, or due to other circumstances of your own volition, there is a charge of $2,000 to find you a new mentor.
